Which cameras are you running?

If you check Moultrie"s web site once in awhile, they have on the "Internet ONLY" page, sometimes, a solar panel with on board batteries. never have to put batteries in the cameras again. refurbed with the year warranty , they were like $40.00 last time they had some.

I have a couple different ones...
Shockey Stealth Cam
Wildgame Innovations "Walmart special"
Wildgame Innovations IR4 IR4C Scouting Stealth Camera
and two older models unknown brands my dad owns

They seem to all have the AC or DC ports for a battery pack tho

Just don't know what is the best system... seeing 12v and 6v boxes.. double 6v set ups... but solar panels with alligator clips for one battery... too many different kinds for me to figure out what to go with and I don't wanna buy just to figure out they aren't compatible ... too much money to make a mistake

I converted all my trail cams for the rechargeable batteries years ago...Wildgame takes a 6v...moultrie takes a 12v ( it actually operates on 9volts but has a 12v adapter plug in side of camera), think about it like this, d batteries are 1.5v each so just do the math. hardwire from the red+ and the black - to a length of wire with battery clips...the add solar charger to charge the rechargeable battery...i made some boxes to hang the batteries so they wont get wet from rain...be aware the coons like to mess with this stuff...
