I've been thinking about buying a tree saddle for a while now and came across a similar stand called the Guido's web that has much better reviews. After doing a little research I decided to bite the bullet and get one. I called them up and spoke to the owner for quite a while. Seems like a good guy and says he'll ship it out by Wed. Weighs about 8 lbs. and will team up with my Stepp ladder tree steps for the hunts where I have a long walk and don't feel like carrying one of my heavy climbers. I'll be on St. Vincent Island for a hunt in a month and have a 3 mile bike ride to get to where I go in to my tree and this will make it a whole lot easier. Any of you guys use this one before or know someone who has one?
That looks pretty sweet! Let us know how you like it.
I'm not going to be any help on the stand as I've never been around them. I just had a question about your bike-riding while hunting. Are you going in with everything on your back or are you pulling a bike trailer behind you? I've got a bike trailer and have used it for hunting for years and was just curious how you're going about it for comparison.
I think they are a modification of one of those sex swing toys originaly developed by Crock. don't buy it off craigslist and be carefull where you use it.
I put a 2'x3' platform on the back of my bike to carry everything but it's too much for me. I wanted to get a trailer for it but right now I only use it for this one hunt and that would be one more thing to get over to the island. This year over there I ain't struggling. I rented a cabin right next to the dock. No dragging everything up the beach to where we're gonna camp. My back has been screwed up ever since that hunt last year. But my chiropractor loves seeing me all the time. :crip
