slug gun, what gauge?

it is actually the opposite, the tight choke flattens the pellets and they start flying all over, most riot guns are cylinder bore, straight pipe.

That is what I was getting at

So right now i only have 2 options for my shotgun.. turkey choke and an open choke. so for small game use my open choke.. but dam i gotta be close as hell to actually kill something right?

I have killed many hogs with buck shot, I try to keep my shots within 25 yards or so. They drop like flies!

Remington ballistic tables put the 20 gauge performance close to the 30-30 Winchester. Out to 150 yds, I think it would do just fine.
