you can fill them with the valve in place, thats why you pierce the bladder. you should never have to remove the valve again. a thin bead of jb weld around where the brass meets the plastic will prevent leaks and keep the valve in place. if some peoples are leaking butane, I'd bet the valve isn't completely seated. I've done about 10 and none have leaked. just gotta find butane with the correct fitting tip, get one that has several diff tips, one will fit ( save it )

anybody try the earth scented pads yet? I just bought some but haven't had a chance to try them. the reg ones I can smell so I don't understand why it doesn't seem to bother the game. I tried soaking some of the old pads in peretherin and it gives off smoke/vapor, just not sure how healthy it is to be inhaling that stuff.
