If you have way more of the pads then the butane, you can buy just the butane in the "hair stuff" isle, Conair makes the same cartridges for curlers. They even say "thermacell" on them and are the exact same thing. Way cheaper too i think, havent bought any in a while
Problem is that everyone caught onto that idea and now they are hard to find. Every single time I go in a wal mart I go look for them. Have not seen them on a shelf in well over a year

I've been looking for over a year and have yet to find them. I asked the store manager in Valdosta about them a while back and she said they go out as fast as she gets them. Closest I've ever come to getting them. I'm gonna head to harbor freight in a bit and get the torches today.
Donny, before you go adding a fill valve. theres already one there, just pull it out with pliars put a heavy sewing needle thru the center of the plastic fill btl center and press the brass fill valve back in. you can seal the rim with jb seal or epoxy if you think it will leak. but am still looking for the "king" brand refill butanne ( cuz they come with the adapters) the zippo brand won't fit. also need pads, not $90 worth tho.
Yeah I'm a dumb :ahole . I forgot about refilling from the top. I went and bought 4 pen torches but will wait till I can get some of the King butane and try again tomorrow. Got 2 cartridges working now to empty them out before I get started anyways.
