Even with checkering? Let me tell you I pretty much suck at that kind of stuff.

Depending on how thick the original finish is, steel wool will get a lot of it out. I guess you could use a stripper(not the one on a pole)

Some of them on the pole are experienced with all kinds of wood! :eek
