Pure annihilation and decimation.
How would that be at close ranges like 10 to 20 yards?
Ive found these big guns and close range shots to be worthless. Hence the reason I tried to talk you out of it till you mentioned going out west with it. I would never sit in a tree stand in Fl with that gun unless my minimum shot was 100 yards. My 7mm will never see the outside of the gun safe again in typical Fl hunting.
To answer your question, I like to zero all my rifles in at 100 yards, 1" high. When I get it where I want it, shoot it at 50 yards, than finally at 25 yards and make mental notes on how they are shooting. That is very important with a gun such as my 30-30

The rifle wasn't bought for Fl. hunting,I have plenty of other guns for that. But like I said for out west. Last year my 8 point I killed was less than 20 yards away. All off the rifles I owned before this one have see thru scope rings, this one does not. I'll get it where I want it today then do some experimenting at closer ranges. You know how it is,you watch and watch till your eyes bleed then you get that feeling something is watching you,ya turn around and a deer is 10' behind you staring at you.

X2, great weapon for out west, not much use in the Southeast. It would be a great Armadillo gun, if you want to watch them explode like a ballon at 50-200 yards. Anything over a 30/06 is over kill in the SE for deer and hogs. My two cents.
at 10-20 yds with a 200yd zero I'd guestimate you'd be no more than 1- 1 1/2 " high, close enough for gov't work. better off with open sights and a "flying ashtray". something large caliber and heavy moving slow.
