I need to take the shotgun to a gunsmith and have it cleaned. I got sand in it where I can't get it out after a bad fall last year. It has a few pin sized rust spots from water damage when the house was destroyed about 5 years back but nothing bad on it. I have those 2 and my first gun which is a 12 gauge single shot pardner made by New England Firearms.

that mossberg can break down totally in about 5 minutes. nothing to it. still have the book??

Yea somewhere. When I find it I find the accu choke set it came with so I do need to look for it.

them 500As are nice shotguns. have one like yours, and an all black one. came with the 18 1/2 barrel, but got a vented rib 26" barrel for it. being left handed, i prefer shooting mossbergs. the ambidextriuos safety is sweet. also have a Mossy 835.

if you want to drive over to spring hill I'll help you strip that mossberg and give it a complete cleaning, just get a spray can of gun scrubber and compressed air and I have the rest, theres nothing to it. the mdl 500 combo was my first gun in 1976 and has taken deer, rabbit, quail, grouse, pheasant, turkey, ducks, geese, squirel, as well as my most spectacular shots ( when I was younger and had great eyesight and reflexes). so many options for barrels and stocks.I currently own 3 of them in all different configurations
