I sorta decided I want a pair of these light weight rubber boots. Ive about given up on snake boots and wet feet. I think I will take my chances with snakes to have dry feet for a change.
I tried on a pair of Muck boots at the show yesterday and couldn't believe how light they are. I've heard reports that the Lacrosse's will wear out in a matter of a year or so. A guy said he had a pair of the Muck's for 7 years and still waterproof.
Just trying to weigh the pros/cons of each

I have to agree with you on the snake boots and wet feet. Also my $200.00 Rocky snake boots barely made it thru 2 hunting seasons. CAn't say what is the best but I bet you can get them cheaper at a farm store if you stay away from the camo.Think I may go look for some today.
Kinda funny, they are cheaper in Cabela's by $20 than they were at the show yesterday
I always just wore cheap 20.00 rubber boots when still hunting. They are great for scent blocking and you always get a season or two from them.Why spend all the money?
That's what I was afraid of. I can't justify spending the coin on something that is going to start deterioration in a year or 2. I have the 2000gram rubber boots that they sell at Sportsman's guide that I wear when it gets cold, but they are like concrete shoes, and are too bulky to use in my climber. About the second season they start cracking.
Pretty funny, but I have a pair of black Wal Mart rubber boots that I wear every day at work. I leave them in the bed of my truck all the time. They are about 3 years old now and have not cracked a bit. Go figure....
