Keep an eye on Craigs list. I see them all the time when someone upgrades to a nicer unit. I went ahead and spent the money on a Garmin 530 Hcx and love it but that's a little pricey. I saw a Garmin 530 on Craigs list for 250 the other day. I've heard good things about the Etrex also and you should be able to find one for around 100 or so on Craigs list or Ebay.
I bought a unit called a Backtrak. It is small like a compass,where it around your neck like a compass it's great and simple to use. It has 3 points you can punch in on it,has a blue light so you can see it in the dark.Can't beat it for 65 bucks,takes you to your stand or back to your truck every time.Also tells you how many yards or miles away you are from your spot.
i like garmins the main reason is up loading. most sites have have gone to that allow you to upload info to gps are only compatible with garmin.

As much as I have spent on GPS's you'd think i would be able to do all that fancy stuff with them and I can barely mark a trail. LOL I keep telling myself I'm gonna learn to download maps and stuff but still can't.
