thanks for the info.i went to both sites and read up on a few. would really like to know what y'all favor ir or white flash. any beefs or gripes. can read research all day long, want to hear it from people using them. the cuddeback photos i've seen, not sure what camera or settings on it, but the pictures were very pixelated. and night photos (ir) looked like azzzz.

I've never used IR cam's before. But I own 3 flash type cam's. My two Moultrie's work great 99% of the time. And my Stealth cam is a big piece of :censored with a slow trigger speed (if it even triggers at all) And it eats batteries.

i think they both do the same. one is just less noticeable when it goes off.. good for public land or where you have a cam where someone can see the flash.

I have a d-40 that has a total of one pixel on the screen that works. Thats the only way you can tell if it is on or not. Cant set the date or time either
