i got in an argument on another forum about people sitting in other peoples stands you wouldnt believe some peoples mindset on this alot of people think if i put a stand out and they beat me to it that they have the right to stay while you have to leave because its public land and he has as much right to it as i do (witch is true ) but not my stand so i told him that since he parks his car/truck on public land that gives me the right to go ahead and sit in it or take it for a spin because its on public land and i got 1 more reply that said only 1 good thing for a thief and they stink after a week :gangsta

public land-just tell'em its your stand and thats all you usually have to say and they leave. never had a problem with that.
private land- depends what it is, if its a hunt camp with other people then you can just tell them to leave and report them to the president or whatever. if they break a gate down and driving around and causeing trouble, then just call the law and block the gate with ur truck so they cant leave. i know i used to work security at the sand hill scout reservation during the summer for summer camp. we had enough guys with trucks that we could corner them and just stop them. we also had handcuffs and would do that and just wait for the cops to come. this was always at night too. it was fun stuff lol

I would just sit there and make noise until they leave, but I don't have to worry about that I don't mark My stands close to the roads like most hunters do,but I pray for the day I catch some ass-hole walking out with My stand,I may fear for my life(Fl. law)

No reason to fear for your life. It's that age-ol question, if a poacher or thief are shot in the woods, did it ever really happen?
