Everyone says to ask others about hunting on their property and eventually you will find someone that will allow you to hunt on their property. I have asked so many people and been turned down 100% of the time. If this doesn't work, it's not like I am not used to it.
Does anyone have any property near Lakeland, or know of anyone that does, that I would be able to hunt hogs on?
I live in Auburndale which is just east of Lakeland and about 30 minutes or so west of Orlando. My work schedule is Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 6am-6pm giving me 4 days off every week. This gives me lots of free time which is awesome. I get to spend a lot of time with the family.
Ideally I would want to find something as close to home as possible but anything that is within 45 minutes or so would be alright as I would be able to help out as needed with the property. I think anything further than that would become too far if the gas prices begin to climb again to the $4.00+/gallon range. The closer the property, the easier it would be to check cameras, fill feeders, or help out in any other way that I just don't know about since I have never owned property. I would be more than willing to help out in any way possible.
I don't want or need a ton of hogs.
At some point I would like to introduce my daughter(s) to hunting if they are interested but being that I only hunt on local WMAs for now, I do not want to introduce them to the atmosphere of public hunting in Florida just yet. Too many horror stories.
I would be willing to sign any waivers so the property owner would not have to worry about me suing them if there was to be an accident.
I would never invite anyone else to hunt with me on the property without permission of the land owner.
Any and all help on this is appreciated.

I have asked a few after a day of hunting or scouting. Of course I wouldn't show up in camo, I would bring a change of clothes.
Most properties with hogs on it do not have homes on it, which means noone there to ask.
I have come across a few guys working on the property or leaving the property and talked with them but obviously nothing came of it.
I will keep trying though.
im gettig a ranch soon. i gotta get out and work on it. put up flyers in feed shops. it works.

You mean you are buying a ranch? If so, where?
