Do you remember this. http://www.newsherald.com/news/alabama-79216-catch-goliath.html
$300 fine is BS.

I dont know what Retards decided that was a Goliath Grouper but It sure dont look like one. Looks like a Warsaw.

FWC needs to rethink how they do things before they get cut from the Budget.

DNA test showed it was a Goliath. It did not have the spike of a dorsal fin and it was caught in 80ft. or less of water. The point should be if you don't know for sure don't take the game.

Don't knw about down here, but in my native Colorado, that would have cost them at least $2000 and probably their right to hunt for 5 years. They take poaching really serious back there. It's the only way to stop the thieves from shooting mule deer, elk, antelope, bighorn sheep, moose and mountain goats just for the heads. They fine the hell out of people.

Kill an illegal bighorn sheep in Colorado and the minimum fine is $25,000. Same for moose and mountain goat. Elk run a minimum of $5000. Deer and antelope run $2000. As far as I know, there has only been one incident of someone poaching a Desert Bighorn in Colorado and they clipped that guy $50,000 and loss of hunting rights in 18 states for life. Most of the western states have banded togeter and a fine is one is honored in all. Fines lke that tend to cut down on the illegal activity. :cowboy

I know a jack ass who shined a monster in Croom last year killed it deader than a rock. I know of another who killed a doe in Richloam last week. Don't mistake me,these are not my friends, nor do I hunt with them. But this happens so much anymore it's rediculis. These guys brag about this crap.
