When you find one of these ridges or circular shaped domes, would you set up right in the middle of it at the highest point or off to the edge? Also, when you locate a good traveling lane or distinct funnel, whats your advice for the distance you want to set up off of it?

Depends on the prevailing winds.
In the last pic I posted, the yellow circle on top, I actually set my climber up in the hammock below it and watch into it.

In the circle below, I set up on the edge of it and climb up about 30-35 feet

OK, here is an aerial of my new lease, it is 100 acres and outlined in red. It is a mix of mostly cypress and pine and sits just west of an existing cattle operation. It is apparent some logging activity has gone on in the past and the south 60 acres has a nice logging road cut into it that is half out of the water and half under water (about a foot deep). I would like to hear your opinions on this one. I did have a chance to spend a couple of hours out there back in April and seen alot of sign. I will mark what I saw after your comments.

Well I made some marks. 1 & 2 look like the have the broadest view area
Spot 3, (I assume there is a fence line) Find a place facing north. Does are gonna go in the cattle field to feed, bucks will cruise it
Spot 4 looks like a sparse cut, giving you a good view

I also put a couple x on the road. If noone else is gonna drive it, don't be scared to sit right on the dang road. Especially if you have a good edge or tree line crossing it. They make a good place to set up a pop up blind now and let the game get accustomed to it

So to sum it up deer are generally were most think there not.

Or perhaps where people are not willing and/or able to go.

After we get done reveiwing this one, I think I am going to upload an aerial as well and get some opinions. I have a new lease that's never been hunted, I have some ideas but would like to hear from hunters with more experience.

Maybe on private land but as for public there always some one willing. Usally one of my friends or myself.
