Basicaly its a 5X5 table that just sits on top of the ground, PT posts and did not paint. But the animals don't seem to care one bit. Both of the turkeys that I shot this spring were all killed 20-30' from that blind. It looks like hell and has been setting there 3yrs. The camo has turned a reddish color but the animals just don't care. My other blind is the same way, I put a member in it and he fell asleep 1.5 hrs. later he wakes and there is a gobbler molesting his decoy and blasts him at 30'. I like them alot. Wish I had started useing them sooner.

I couldn't sleep last night so after my son went to sleep I threw the ground stand and couple of potted areca palms in the truck and drove up to the property.

I drove strait up to the drainage ditch as I already had a spot in mind to set it up. I quickly leveled out a small areas and positioned the stand almost right at the edge of the ditch. I positioned the stand with 45 degree turn so out the front window is the view of the left and right side window is view of right so inside I can look out two windows and cover about 125 feet of the ditch (75 feet to my left from front window and about 50 feet to my right from the right side window).

I used a dozen tent stakes plus couple pieces of paracord to keep it from flying away in the wind. Then I put 6 potted palms around the stand and tied them to the stand... again to prevent the stand from blowing away in case of strong wind and to break up the outline of the square stand. I finished it off by putting in a large folding chair inside.

From this stand I would only shoot hogs in the ditch so the ditch itself would be the backstop in case I miss or if bullet exits a hog. I can't shoot a hog that's out of the ditch from the stand as I could have a stray bullet leave my property and into the grove.

I left the house at 10PM and got back at 4:30AM to find wife and son still sleeping.

BTW. after it was completed I took a picture with my phone but forgot I don't have a flash. It was a nice picture of dark stand surrounded by dark plants at night.

Here is one I brushed in on a seasonal creek bank. I was laying 15' long branches across the top of this one with no problem.

That ones hidden very well. I'd look twice before steping into it to make sure there's no snake.
Mine's out in the open with only some bushes nearby and a palm tree behind it.
