I purchased a small ground stand for hunting purpose last night.
It's one of those 5'x5' pop-up tent type without floor made of realtree camo pattern material with three windows to shoot out of. Is there anything I should know about hunting out of ground stand? Any down side to hunting out of one of these things? I want to set it up next to a drainage ditch where I want to try to ambush some pigs at night. I'm going to pick a likely spot and set up the stand semi-permanently this weekend and let it stay out there for 2 or 3 weeks so pigs can get used to it.

They won't even pay any atention to it if you leave it up. Now they have some good sence of smell would use some kind of cover sent. I leave my up year round but there also on 5X5 platforms 4' off the ground. I have had deer, turkeys, bobcats and pigs walk rite by 5' away and not even look at it.

I want to do this with one of my popups. Did you sink the corners into the ground or does it just sit on top for easy moving?

Ground blinds are a blast to hunt out of. I absolutely love them. You will find you can hunt a lot longer as you are more comfortable

I own a few of those same pop up blinds. Try to brush it in a little. Also always check for snakes before you just walk in and sit down. I'm gonna put 1 just off a bottom on my place for this next year myself. Good luck!
