if you are gonna hunt the feeder, and wait for them to show up a stand or blind will come in handy. i prefer to spot and stalk hogs. i have seen it happen, hunting right over a feeder, the hogs will learn that, that feeder means DEATH, and will leave it alone for awhile. best bet would be to let that feeder run, determine the path they are using to get there and set up on that path.

interesting, how long do you set it out before you plan to hunt? I've tried various products for deer and most could take it or leave it.

ill dump it and walk to my stand right after.. they come in for it right at dark..

No allowed on public land tho.. corn dust works for that. not recomemded but its not a solid bait but a wind attractor.

I wasn't planning on doing anything illegal, just curious if and how it worked, maybe if i get some access to private land. I've got a 15 gal pastic barrel I used to use for water when camping, but it's about 125lbs when full, used to be able to lift it and move it around myself, but don't want to hurt my back anymore. thought it might be perfect for brewing some stink corn, but would need to move it on a game cart or divide it up into 5 gal containers.how long would you let it brew/ferment for?

I mix it in a 5-gal bucket. Fill bucket half full of corn, pour in a beer, grape kool-aid and completely fill bucket with water. It takes a good week or so to get ripe. We usually just dip some out in a big Folger's coffee can and dump it right under the feeder. Trust me, they can smell it from a long ways away
