OK. This past Saturday, I filled a 5 gallon bucket with whole corn and filled water to just above the corn. after 3 days uncovered. It started stinkin. Was suppost to go Hog hunting this Sat. but cant go till Jan.31. I put a sealed cover on it. will it still be Good to use then or should I dump it and start over.
Another question. is the stink corn something to put out on Huning day ? If hogs are in the area, will they come runnin ?
My cousin and I have a feeder that we just set up last week. This past Sat. there was evidence that something had been pushing their head or noses into the pine needles to get the corn. I cant tell if this is Hogs. Didn't find any hoof prints. Oh' and can someone please confirm with me. I keep telling my cousin that walking around down the trail is NOT hunting. He thinks a hog or Deer are going to walk out and ignore him while he shoots them. I keep telling him that he needs to be in a stand or blind and FRICKEN still !!!
I have some in a bucket in the back yard that has been soaking for over 2 months. Our hogs will run to it
To make it even better, pour in a beer (or pack of yeast) to speed up fermentation, and several of the cheap packs of grape or strawberry kool-aid. You can get 5 packs for $1 at the dollar store
lol, I have a cooler full of stank corn that I started soaking in the beginning of December and never got around to using. Thankfully, its got the lid on it....last time I opened it I tripped over a chair running away from it.
