I feel very certain they are not going to bite thru snake boots. Matter of fact, I doubt they would bite thru most boots regardless. I worry more about the ones you put your hand on, or the one you put yer azz on when you sit down.
While I respect poisonous snakes, and do see them as a potential threat, there are things out there that are more dangerous. Given half a chance, they will get out of your way. Put your foot in a yellow jackets nest, or be in a box stand when the red paper wasps swarm you, or run into a hornets nest.....Now that'll get your attention
Justin lace up work boots cuz my feet won't go in the slide up type or new balance pro joggers for 45.00 at shoe carnival or flip flops most of the time. Way back I was pretty fond of deck shoes. i tried some of them snake boots but didn't care for them, they were ok in the snow though.
what time of year/temps do we have to stop worrying about them as much?
Usually after the first frost. However, Ive seen rattlers out in middle of roads sunning in cold weather.
