Smooth bore= rifled slugs

hey skunk the best slugs i've ever shot out of a smooth barrel in 20 and 12 are the federal tru balls. look them up they are cheap and are super acurate in a smooth barrel with a modified choke and put hogs down!! and deer just flat out knocks the shit out ofem!!!
Ok everybody,I know all about shooting sabots thru rifled slug barrels,that I know for fact. I know you can shoot rifled slugs thru a rifled barrel but if you shoot to much you will have lead build up in your rifleing.Not highly recomended but doable. I have shot rifled slugs thru smooth bore barrels with inproved cylinders for years but never modified.My main question is I guess is will a slug mess up my modified choke ? Lead is softer than steel, so it should be ok.
Jeff, the best of my knowledge a mod choke is fine for slugs
if you go to the mossberg web page go under the frequently asked questions and they say use the least constrictive choke but they also say that a lot of people have sucsess with the modified. i think on federal web site for the tru balls they say the mod or imp also. but the federall tru balls are great. http://www.cabelas.com/p-0035390215988a.shtml
