When Tred Barta lost the use of his legs in May, the original diagnosis was a “spinal stroke,” an ultra-rare condition.
Later, doctors found that Barta had also developed “Waldenstrom's Disease,” a type of blood cancer that causes the blood to thicken. Barta believes his thickened blood may have contributed to his spinal stroke.
After a couple of months of treatment, Barta says he's getting good news from this doctors. The Waldenstrom's disease is now under control.
The end result, though, is that doctors, and now Barta, expect he'll be in a wheelchair the rest of his life.
With his current social status in the hunting community, all he has to do is say when and where he wants to go hunting and someone will hook him up. Don't get me wrong that this is a shame though
hes just a real known person.
