Poisonous snake comes in to my yard or my camp (or boat in case of moccasins!), he's probably good as dead. But if I run into one in HIS backyard, unless he poses immediate danger to me or a loved one, I leave them alone. When I go into the woods, I figure I'm on their turf, and should respect that they have a right to live and a place in God's plan.

You did right by that snake, reel_spoiled! Did you take any of those grapes home?

At home or my shooting house, feeder, cams and such a poisonous snake is a dead snake. Randomly found where I usually don't go, depends on how I feel at the time...I never kill non poisonous snakes.

First pic, somebody was harvesting the pine sap.

Second pic, fox grapes or 'possum grapes or a variety of scuppernongs. Sweet little grapes, very juicy, and make awesome jelly, grape juice, or hommade wine. My lil brother and I done picked about a five gallon bucket full. See the recipe tread on this forun; I just posted about it yesterday.

Third pic, you did good to let him go. The forests and field lose a little something without that sudden buzzing that get's your heart beating in your throat faster than your first look at boobies! Me and Mr No Shoulders never been friends, but I know I'll miss him when he's gone.
