Snapped a couple pics while scoutin a couple weeks ago.

Found this while easin through the woods. Tree was so far rotten, it was hard to tell what it was. My guess is pine, harvesting pine sap. What do you think?

Ran into these as well. The vines were everywhere. Nice and ripe.

Found this guy stretched completely across the road. Thought someone might have already gotten to him so I decided to toss a stick on him to check for signs of life. Well, he was alive! Pissed him off with that tossed stick. He sprang up immediately. Rattle was goin a mile a minute.

Just because he's there, we should kill him??? Just curious why

Anyway, nice lookin fox grapes in pic #2. I used to pick the hell out of them when I was a kid and take them to my granny. Man I can still taste the homemade biscuits with her homemade preserves smeared on them

Well he got a free pass that day and will continue to get a pass. If they can't live in the woods, where can they live?

I can understand the reasoning of not wanting to get tagged by it later but that's just the chance I'll have to take. Same chance I take everytime I drive to work, climb a treestand or buy crack in DA HOOD. lol

I guess as I get a little older, I get a little more laid back and enjoy wildlife a little more. Even more since I got into photography. I used to trip over myself looking for my shotgun every time I saw a poisonous snake, now I just try to take in their beauty and move along. Do they scare me, yes. Only, and I mean the only reason is I take my 6 year old son to the woods with me, and I fear for his safety. If he ever got snake bit, I would never live with myself. Is that a good excuse to kill them, nope it is not. Fear of dogs getting bit a good excuse? Nope it is not. Mark my word, you will see rattlesnakes on the endangered list, or imperiled list in the next few years and it will be a crime to kill them

And BTW I have sat up many a nights rubbing a dogs head comforting them after they got smacked in the nose from rattlers, while their head was swelled up like a watermelon. I have been there man

Didn't mean to turn this into a snake killing thread, just had a feeling it was gonna go that way anyway. Lets just move along. Great pics man
