FYI it is Walk-in-water wma in lake wales. Last year I spoke with a couple other Archers, and they said they quit manning the station and dont record the deer anymore. Not sure why and they couldnt explain why either. Guess they are relying on the Biologist for their data, and not the hunters.
Imagine that! There too busy busting balls on private property to manage their own land!
HAHAH>> SO TRUE>> lol
Form the FWC site.
3. Hunters are not required to check in at the check station or report
harvested game.
WHAT THE HECK!! lol.. thats crazy!!
Heres the whole "walk in water" brochure.
Its the same thing at Lochloosa. There is no check station, not on the map, or written anywhere in the brochure. This is all it says:
HUNTERS AND CHECK STATIONS:
Hunting equipment and dogs may be taken onto the WMA after 8
a.m. the day before the opening of a season and shall be removed by 6
p.m. one day after the end of the season.

I would cut the sex evidence off and put in a ziploc bag, in the cooler with meat.
We do something similar with doe tags on my lease. we are required to tag a doe immediately. Tag goes in the ear and when it gets cleaned, I cut the ear off with tag in it and put in baggie in cooler. That stays with it till I get home
I swear I posted this earlier, but anyways you must have sex evidence of deer when in transport . Keep antlers and sex organs of bucks and I keep the head of a doe and any tags you have to go with it.My friends have had deer taken from them in Ga and out west and broke no laws except paperwork.I've even had a D-head game warden bust my balls on the sex of a hog in a cooler. He must have felt pretty stupid when I explained that hogs have no bag, size or sex limit.
