yup no check station, no box, no game card, no requirement whatsoever to report any game taken from this WMA.
So you see my quandry. Wanting to stay within the letter of the law, and abide by the rules set forth, I am confused as to how to proceed.

At current my idea is to field dress the animal cutting away the organs and leaving the external "sex evidence" attached to the skin. Tying off the urinary, and fecal ducts so as not to contaminate the meat. Dispose of the guts in the field and drag the deer to camp. At which point I would hang, and skin the animal still leaving the external sex evidence attached to the skin. Putting the skin with the evidence in a bag, in the cooler. Remove the head and put it in with the skin. Then quarter the animal or if it will fit, just chuck the whole lot in the cooler. I Have a big cooler.

Unless I get some better response from the FWC, which I will post here if I get a "REAL" answer, and not the "RTFM" answer I am expecting.

That idea you have i think is the way to do it. Just keep everything that determines the animals sex attached to something and with you until you leave and i think you are good.

And more then likely, if the area has no checkstation or anything, then it would surprise me if you ran into a game warden anyway

FYI it is Walk-in-water wma in lake wales. Last year I spoke with a couple other Archers, and they said they quit manning the station and dont record the deer anymore. Not sure why and they couldnt explain why either. Guess they are relying on the Biologist for their data, and not the hunters.
