I have a question for all you hunters. Do you really think it is necessary to use a scent cover when hunting? I have been helping fill feeders all season and watching what has been coming to the cameras in front of the feeders and human scent has not bothered the wildlife to coming in. They are still like clock work. Do the deer and hog gets spooky when the season starts. You know if someone was shooting at me and my buds, I would be alittle jumpy to.
I am from the missouri and was raised on a 1000 acre farm and the deer were not bothered by us and in fact they would wait in the edge of the woods when we brought the silage and hay out for the cows. :rolleyes

i, from my experience (mostly georgia) that they know the difference between being in an area quick(fill feeders) and staying in an area(tree stand) i do use a scent eliminator spray. but i also spray my boots with pine cover scent. they know when season opens and are on edge. or more weary. i believe they pay more attention to new smells. have had them blow at c'mere deer. had never used it before and it was something new.

What part of Mizzourah you form there ? My wife is from Missouri and I lived there for afew years. All game I've ever been around is spooky of human scent if they're not used to it, Bu I also have friends whos said hogs would walk right up to them when they filled feeders.

when i fill my feeders, i make as much noise as possible short of yelling. lol. will hit on the feeder and so on.(metal 55 gal drums) and always make sure the dust from the corn blows and scatters. they are curious and will be on that feeder that evening. but a strong constant scent will spook them. after getting more serious about scent control i have seen more deer.
