Yup wear them in all types of stands. Buddy I hunt with fell 15' on to his bow last year. He is lucky he didn't get more than a few cracked ribs.

I wear harnesses in climbers only.

We had a husband and wife fall from their ladder stand when a strap broke. He broke his back and she her shoulder.
Most falls happen while your climbing up the tree with a climber or a lock on fall.
Most ladder stand falls its while your climbing up or down. 99.9 percent of people DO NOT clip the harness on each ladder rung. They climb up and attach it to the pre set strap thats up there already. So with or without a harness on wont help climbing up a ladder stand.
Now falling out of a ladder can happen but hard to do. Unless you don't maintain the stand.

I made a lifeline for each of my ladder stands.
IL2H is exactly right. Gravity works no matter what type of stand you use. Nobody plans on falling out of a stand, it's as easy as falling off a log, only it can be fatal or crippling. why risk it?
