Came in here to hunt a stand of my buddies. I hunted it 2 weekends ago and everything was fine with it. Walked up to it and went to get pull rope to hook gun up. Not there but maybe it blew around tree from all the wind, no big deal. Go to climb up old school with gun across shoulder. Grabbed the ladder, took one step up and almost landed on my back. I look up and the ratchet strap is flapping in the breeze with a perfect straight cut thru it. The pull rope I couldn't find I see is rolled up in a ball and hanging on the hook. I know I didn't do that because I used it to lower rifle down last time. Looked on ground and I can see tiny fibers from the strap where it was cut. I will be bringing a camera over here before I go home. I guess no where you go is immune from scum of society. I hope whoever did it feels good that they tried to hurt an old man that's been knocking on heavens door lately. Had my buddy climbed it I can almost guarantee you he would have fallen
You probably thought of this already, but use an IR camera so there's no flash...
Build a relationship with the local FWC officer and there is a form that you can fill out that when he finds anyone on your property he can arrest them on the spot if they don't have a signed letter from you telling them that you have gave permission for them. They will normally work with you and help with the tresspassing.
