i had a 2 person stand stoling in richloam they took it a part ,but most of the time no problem we leave are stand there all season long so i cant see why not leaving it
It sounds like your chain and lock is pretty heavy duty so you would probably be safe. I see stands now and then, some of which arent even locked but i dont mess with them. The only time i leave my climber in the woods is on the Saturday evening hunt so its already on the tree Sunday morning. Thats the only time
you shouldn't be able to "save a seat "on public land. the area should go to the person that put in the effort to get there first. if you set up a ground blind in the dark and don't see a treestand next to you until light, then that site should go to the ground blind guy. if the guy with the treestand comes along later he should back off and make other plans and not molest the ground blind guys day, or at least give him the am "magic hour" and aproach him, friendly like later and work something out.
Well, from what I gather. I can tack weld the stand parts so nobody can take it apart.but I may just use my climber untill I find private land to put it on.
Well think about it- Everyone agrees that moving ladder stands is a pain so why would you try to steal one? I think your ok to put it on public land. But i wouldnt weld the pieces together because then you wont be able to take it apart to move it. You can just lock the bottom piece to the tree too
