Are there any hunting leases in Citrus or Hernando County? I have a weekend house in Chassahowitzka and have hunted the WMAs but have had very little luck. During the off season the area is loaded with all kinds of deer, hog and turkey. As a matter of fact I see turkey on US 19 all the time.
I would also be willing to let someone hunt my farm in Easter TN in exchange. I have food plots and feeders in place and you can see monster bucks everyday. There is soy farm next to my land and it brings in all kinds of game.
I will also rent or buy a lease as well ,just let me know what you have to offer. I have lots of cool hunting and fishing toys I could trade.....

Welcome strunes. I live in Brooksville and I can tell you private property is hard to come by up here.There's really no large timber leases here and most of the ranches are small and have plenty of hunters. Most of the habitat that holds game is full of houses and you either need to own the land or have a good friend that lives there.
Welcome to the site. Finding Private land in Fl is hard. You need to gain trust of alot of people. Most people with private land have been burned so many times by hunters that they no longer let outsiders step foot onto the property. Good luck with that one. But being on this forum you will get opportunities to meed and hunt with alot of people. I never DONT have noone to hunt with. I just log on here put up a thread and get tons of people who are willing to hunt..
Thanks for the info. My house in Chassahowitzka is set back into the preserve and I always see deer on my street. Sometimes I even hear shots, but shooting deer from my porch would not be my idea of hunting.
I have a federal permit and can hunt the Chassahowitzka preserve via the river or Gulf of Mexico. On a scouting trip I saw several nice buck on some of the spoil Islands just outside of the river. The only problem is the water is super skinny and I don't know my way around. Any of you ever hunt these islands? Or want to? I have all they equipment and permits if anyone wants to try with me.
