Our camp in Georgia
That camp looks like it has been there awhile, I just got back from GA last weekend looking at a lease and I think we are going to join. I could swear that trailer in the 2nd pic with the orange strip was sitting on our lease too....haha
Since we have some new folks on the forum now, I thought I'd revisit this thread. We still haven't built a cabin on the Live Oak property yet but we've put a small camper trailer up there. When I finish the RV it will be it's permanent home as well. Here's some pics of the trailer.
My dad's lease in GA is all trailers, most pretty permanent now. He's built a 8x30 covered porch on his. It's an old "park model", about 32 feet I think, with one of the old slide-outs in the "living room". Has a plastic drum buried for a septic tank. They had a well put in, and you could bottle that and sell it, better than Zephyrhills. They ran power and water lines out to each camp spot.
I saw one of the "tiny houses" once, and if I ever come into the money to get into a lease, I'll want something like it. It seems to be most popular with the treehugger crowd, but I think it would be an awesome hunting cabin:

The site selling the plans says it costs about $23K for DIY, but I believe I could build one to suit my hunting camp needs for $5000 if I scrounged things off Craigslist and such.
Weird, I was just looking at a site called "Tiny Houses". I really want to build a cabin on this Live Oak property eventually. Anyone know of any permitting issues I'd run in to? I ain't talking electricity or running water either or any indoor plumbing.
I was also thinking that if this RV thing get's to be too expensive to maintain then I could rob all the stuff out of it and put into a small cabin. Stuff like the generator, gas stove, fridge, lighting, etc. Heck I could even take the toilet and shower out of it and use in the cabin if I plumbed it using the stuff from the RV. Hmmm, just day dreaming here.
