Regardless, a very cool pic. I've seen Lynx in NH and bobcats here but mt lions/panthers nowhere. heard em , saw tracks, kills, scat, but they are ghosts. I'd think it would be EXTREMELY rare to see one like that out in the open in daylight. Something about the size of that and the shape says maybe a young/old/sick/small panther? is it possible for them to crossbreed? If bobcat it seems huge, but then there is nothing to use for scale. Too late to plaster cast the tracks for a biologist?
