there is some correlation between full moon and violent crime. The "U" did a 10 year study on this back when I was in school-early 70's, and found that there were more violent crimes, murder, domestic violence etc. were committed during the full moon phase. something to do with gravitational pull. Now since then and my mis-education-that has been proven false. People tend to notice a full moon in relation to crime more often then dark pases of the moon. That study at the "U" was wrong.

I know for a fact it's easier for me to walk around at night with a full moon and clear skies, and it makes 1 of my dogs nuts. but I have pretty much given up on trying to predict animal behaviors/feeding/traveling patterns and cycles long ago. they do and go wherever they want whenever they want, not working the wind etc. what are you gonna do, say you're not supposed to be here now and traveling in this direction at his time of day? the only cycle I believe in is the menstrual cycle.

My ex and current GF are nurses and both claim it has an effect on patient numbers and/or behavior.

I dislike bow/muz hunting the full moon as the deer normally feed very close to nightime and mid-day when I don't hunt. Dog hunting can be tough around full moons also. The deer tend to walk all night long and because they do it makes them harder(a longer time) to trail with dogs. You normally don't have as many races around a full moon.

when I was a hospital RN, I noticed higher behavioral changes and increased ER activity shortly after the bars closed, esp on fri/sat nites and hollidays.
