When does acorn stop falling in central Florida?
Last two hogs I got were full of acorns in their stomach and both were very fat.
Previous four hogs before that had no or very little acorns and were pretty skinny.
I don't know where they are getting all that acorns as there is very little (almost nothing now) on trees on my property but I expect it's from hardwood hammocks at the grove and at state land.
Got up to my lease today. I paid attention to the ground in all 4 of my stands and there are a few sparse trees still dropping. I think they are bout done. I'm in N Fla
I hunted a central fl wma and the oak trees were raining back in mid october. I went back mid november and there were only a few acorns dropping from the same trees. Probably a few left, but not many by now...
The trees on my lease in South Florida are still dropping.
Not sure about out in the woods, but all the oaks here in town (Sarasota) are still dropping pretty good.
