does he skin it also, if you get it to him quickly. I know if its hot out you should skin it asap. and that includes wrapping? good price.
are you serious? to me half of hunting is skinning and gutting your game.
serious as a heart attack. up north we would age them with the skin on and skin them after about a week or so unless it got warm. the skin kept them from freezing. if you took it to a butcher they would skin it as part of the service. skinning a chilled deer is cold and hard on the hands. I never skinned one while it was still warm. as for gutting them thats a given, something that has to be done, but I wouldn't say I derive any pleasure from it. on the few pay to hunts I've been on gutting was part of the service and I didn't object to letting someone else do it at all. as for hogs I'd like to see it done once before trying it myself, but I'm sure I could muddle thru it if I had to, but im sure a butcher or someone whos done it many times could do a better job than me.
i will have a detailed video of it coming this year.
cool
Me and my buddies shot some deer in michigan last season and I told them we do not have to skin them for a few days, well the guys that lived there thought I was nuts, let me tell you skinning a frozen deer is the hardest thing I ever did. Never again. Also gutting a hog is the same as gutting any other critter. They're all the same on the inside.
