My new plot has been doing fairly well this year, but it's back in the woods further, and the moisture content in the ground is a little higher. The main plot leaves a lot to be desired. If it weren't for the huge amount of clover that was "OVER-PLANTED" it would look like my front yard (dirt and leaves). Going to plant a lot earlier this year. We planted the second week of October, but had so little rain. Also going to dump down another ton or more of lime this spring. Between applying early lime and fertilizer, and planting a spring summer plot, I'm hoping to get the soil good and ready for planting in August.
