my opinion for what its worth. great idea and a lousy product. everyone ran out to purchase one cause it was the way to track dogs. i have hunted with 2 people that own these units and i will tell you what i have seen. collars are cheap, battery life is short, if you have a long ranging hound its useless, you have to goto a certain area for the thing to keep updating for that area or you wont know where your hound is anyways. to me i cant personally justify it.
seems like today people cant hunt without all the new fangled techno gadgets. my compass never gave me a reading that was only good up 36 ft, "lol"
as far as tracking equipment i will stick with the "beep beeps". simple and easy to use that way i can spend more time listening to those hounds trailing him up. ( instead of watching a screen to see where they have been).

It seems like a great product that will cut down the time on hunting your dogs and give you more time to hunt game.

Why do you think it's called "Dog Hunting"?

I have a garmin I use to coonhunt, this is a lifesaver if hunting close to highways, I would reccomend going to Tiger GPS and buying one, I paid 459 for the unit and a DC20 collar.

This is good investment. I hunted with one and it was a time saver and really cool to see what your dogs are doing. You can mark crossings, sign, tell when your dog is getting close to a road, etc. It is not fool proof but nothing is.
Tiger GPS has uped their price to 519 for the garmin and one collar but this website has the system and collar for $479 http://www.erwincomputers.com/0100059601.html .
