depends on who you talk to. i know some guys that catch, cut and release mainly to run their dogs. some people catch to eat, some catch to catch. if you are gonna release them though, you might as well take away their ability to reproduce while you are at it.
There's some boys in my club that mark,cut ,and release,only problem is that the land owners want them dead. I've killed a lot of boars and ate them after dogging them and never really ate a bad one but a barr is much better and they grow bigger. What club do you hunt in? Is it on Foley timber? You have hounds or just curs?
We hunt in hickory ford and hunt hogs with curs and deer with hounds.
Just tryng to learn here. So I was not in the right track about the cutting?
I think a barr is alot better to eat than a boar.
