You have shot the boar that you have ate that makes the differance. When they have been run the testosterone will cange the tast os the meat. If I'm right.
we cut them coz it is great stress releif for us women to watch a male squirm around while someone it getting a knife out, fixing to pull hos mountain oysters out. :taz :taz
No really crock we cut the boar hogs for they stink especially after they have been dogged. and their meat stinks too. In our club, we trap and work our hogs in the off season, castrate and mark their ears so you know it is a barr. They are better eating

Right now they don't but will let you know if things change. Now they just work the hogs in off season with traps, no dogs and turn them loose again.
There's some boys in my club that mark,cut ,and release,only problem is that the land owners want them dead. I've killed a lot of boars and ate them after dogging them and never really ate a bad one but a barr is much better and they grow bigger. What club do you hunt in? Is it on Foley timber? You have hounds or just curs?
