Yeah, the two hunters were 2000 yards apart, which is 1.2 miles (or 1 nautical mile). That's a pretty good chunk of land and pretty far for a deer shot in the vitals to travel. That arrow must have found the only way through that deer's thorax without fatally damaging anything.

1st arrow never recovered, or mention if it passed thru or not. IMO bh failed and never penetrated past ribs, glanced off maybe. the angle we saw is not the same angle the hunter saw, but the visable hole looked like it was well placed. was it a mech B H or fixed?
