Man I remember as a kid going behind grocery stores and getting cardboard boxes to make targets. The old aluminum arrows would be so tight in there, and as a kid I was designated arrow puller. I would be so wore out from pulling arrows I couldn't shoot. When dad finally broke down and got a layered target, I thought I had won a new corvette
That's what I'm talking about. I thought the pro shop guy was gonna go ballistic when I suggested layered cardboard. I guess it would be okay if you have something behind the cardboard to slow the arrow "gently" (some type of layered foam), then you wouldn't have to compress the cardboard so much to stop the arrows.
He might have went ballistic because cardboard is free....hard for him to make any money on that.
True too. Just don't wanna take a chance and ruin an expensive arrow.
