I chrono check my setup at twenty and forty yards. I use mechanical broadheads and need to know my KE on impact. I WILL take a forty yard shot, so I must have 45#+ of KE at that range to ensure that the heads will perform properly. That's why I shoot the Easton ACC's. They're heavier than the all carbon shafts, but what I lose in fps, I make up for my retaining down range KE. Still, my 3-49ACC's out of a sixty-four pound Matthews Q-2 is slinging at 292 with my 29"DL. That's getting me 48# KE at 40yds.
I Love bowhunting!!!
