Thanks guys. I think I made a good choice also and I went ahead and got the thumbhole stock on it. I really think I am going to be much steadier with it.

I have the same rifle,Omega with stainless fluted barrel,black composite stock,and thumb hole. I put a Bushnell trophy scope on mine and love it. I've killed about 5 or 6 deer with it the last 5 years.

I've honestly never heard anyone have a bad overall review of the gun and my dad, brother, and friends love theirs also. I think the hammer could have redesigned to better fit a scope but that's it. This problem can be alleviated by the hammer extension or buying a higher scope mount. Their accuracy with a magnum load is quite impressive especially at long distances.
