Hey guys i have an in line ml with a 3x9 scope on it and sighted it in at 1 inch high @ 50 yards. I wasn't able to get over to the 100 yd range. I shoot 100 grains of 777 w/ a 300 grain horady. Shouldnt i be pretty close to dead on @ 100 yds? Thanks for the help.
I can only think of one way to know for sure, but I dont think it would be too far off
i also shoot a 300gr. bullet i'm sited dead on at 50 and know where to hold over at 100 with my setup but all are different. but in my experience you will probally need to be 2 inches high at 50 wich should be right close at 100 with a 240 gr, bullet that load at 2 high at 50 should get you close at 150 yards. but the only wat to know is to shoot it at 100 or best yet site it dean on at 100 they shoot 50 if you are dead on at 100 and say 2 high at 50 make it 1 high at 50 and then just hold dead on at either at 100 or 50. but you need to do the shooting so find out what your gun will do.
Gonna shoot mine today,I like to be about 1' hi at 50. Anyone have any thought on shooting 150 grains as compared to 100?
I have both mine sighted in 1/2" high at 50 yards. Move out to 100 yards and the group becomes average about 1.5" low with about a 1.5" grouping. Most of my shots are anywhere from 10-50 yards. I like it zeroed at 50 yards so I can neck shoot comfortably. If I had a 100 yard shot I could hold a touch high and be fine.
As far as 150 grains goes....One of my guns will shoot it, the other wont. It has a shorter barrel and all the powder does not burn. I wanted to be able to use the same exact loads for both guns, so (2) 777 pellets and a 250gr shockwave is what it be
