Nice mess of tree rats! Those are some good looking woods. Did a search and found out the Etoniah State Forest is over 8600 acres, and the Etoniah Creek WMA is almost 7200 acres.

Looks like everything but small game is a quota hunt. That's a nice area up there around Palatka.

I didn't see much in the way of hog sign although the brochure says they are legal during small game. I did see some good deer sign, a couple nice rubs in fact. I've only spent 2 mornings out there and they were both in the same general 10-20 acre area but from all the driving around I did there are some really good looking areas. If anyone lives up this way it might be worth spending some time checking it out. Right now it's way less traveled than Blanding, that's for sure. That place looked like a mad house the last few times I've driven by. I saw one van out at Etoniah and I don't think they were hunting. The sign in sheet showed one-sies and two-sies every couple days since small game opened and most folks are in and out in a few hours....empty handed for the most part too...hmmmmm.
