my ml hunt is in 2 weeks. my firing pin is stuck and i dont have time to send it to cva. took a few shots a week ago took it home cleaned it put it up. got back from hunting with my neice today got to cleaning our guns and she wanted to see my ml. well good thing she asks me what this lever is for so i break the action and show her and my breech face is very corroded. very bad with paint bubbling off. i follow the instructions to remove firing pin and can not get it to budge. anyone know how to fix this? i am sure i saw a similar post a while back but i can not find it. any suggestions would be appreciated as my time to fix is getting short. even if it means breaking down and going to a gunsmith.
Thanks,
Sean :oops

What type of CVA? Only thing I can think of in short order is shoot some PB Blaster in around it

Is it a CVA Optima? I read somewhere else about their firing pins sticking a lot.

I just had a problem with a new CVA Optima Pro. Hammer jammed and it ended up being a broken spring that jammed it up. Less than 2 months old. Cost me a shooter buck too when I realized I couldn't get the hammer back. Seems to be good now. Going on a hunt with it Tuesday.

PB Blaster or Breakfree would be what I would try first.
Is the pin protruding through the breech face?
Maybe try to tap it back through with a small punch or drill (bit) Not hard, if the pin is through the face of the breach and you mushroom the end at all you will be screwed for sure.
Might be better off to take it to a smith, as not to do any damage!
Can you post a picture of it?
