it is a cva wolf bought spring 2011. the pin is protruding through the breechface. i think a smith is my answer as i do not want to do any damage with my hunt 2 weeks away.
Since your hunt is still 2 weeks away maybe consider a friend or aquaintance that has a m/l you can borrow just for that hunt? Still gives you time to get familiar with it before going and get yours to the smitty.
Update i fixed it!! made a screwdriver out of an old chisel with my grinder and got it apart, never did see a spring they show in the diagram but oh well, it works and works well!!!!

Yes, it is Upper Hills on the weekend of the 28th. I am very excited about the oppurtunity to take a deer here as i have found a number of good sheds over the last few years. The place is packed with hogs so maybe i will get some kind of table fare out of the weekend, if not i will be huntng small game there as well when season opens.
