well here is my hunting load. 90gr. measured of blackhorn 209 with a 300gr. .452 45 cal hornaday xtp in a 50cal harvester crush rib sabot.
1st group 5 shots just under 2 inch group

second group 4 shots 1 1/2 group

i know none of these are in a bull i was just shooting for load not sight in, i'm gonna pull off the scope now that i have the load and use open sites or maybe a red dot. what are the rest of you guys shooting and what results are you getting. i really like shooting loose powder or pellets so i can fine tune a load instead of just shootim 50 75 100 or 150gr. loads, also blackhorn is so clean and hot its great.

I have heard that the Buckhorn powder is the best loose powder on the market. Wish them made pellets.
Im shooting 100gr 777 pellets. I am switching to the Barnes muzzleloader bullets. I got them just havent been to the range yet. I got tired of losing deer with power belts and shockwaves

those were shot at 50 yrds. but i get the same out to 100 with that load also. my powder i either buy at bass pro in orlando or gander in lakemary, my sabots i ordered from cabellas as well as my bullets. i buy pistol bullets usally and buy them in bulk by the 100 or more at a time so much cheaper. but there is alot of good places to order like midway and ohters out there. also there is a great site for muzzle loading its called modern muzzleloader.
http://www.modernmuzzleloader.com its a forum also if you go just scroll down till you get to the new to muzzloading and the inline section, they also have a traditional section there too. there is so much info on there that its crazy. and they know what they are talkin about and love to help and answer questions and there aint no jerks just good people like we have on here. also if you buy seperate componets instead of buyin packaged bullets you can mix and mach till you find out what your peticular gun likes and your not payin a middle man for the package, ive never had luck with pre packed bullets and sabot deals.
