Last year was my secound year with smoke pole and I took a nice 4 point chasing two does. Took him at 30 feet from my ground blind. That was first time in 35 years that I saw the buck making grunt and I can still see it in my head like it was 10 minutes ago.
It was pretty cool. I should have baught one 30 years ago.

I love BP season and love shooting mine. Bucks are rutting and I use to hunt the whole 9 day season until several years ago.
Use my bp i have 5 of them 4 are 50s inline one is a hand model and a 45 side lock. I use the bp in small game for hogs. Way better range than a shoot gun. I busted a 6 point thru the neck at 175 yards that's my longest kill with one to date. This year i shot that white and black hog at the end of small game
mine is a 2000 knight 50 cal disc rifle and about the most well made and best shooter I own, love the trigger and stock. with a leupold 2x7 and 100grs of pyrodex am able to pretty much touch holes at 100 yds and recoil is not bad at all. 150 gr's is another story. just have never gotten around to hunting with it, the mzl season without a quota by me is so short.
